Is my client data really safe?+
Yes. The model and your documents run entirely on your own computer or VPS. GuptAI's servers never see your files — we have nothing to leak. You can even unplug the internet and it still works.
Do I need an expensive GPU?+
No. The default community model runs on a normal modern laptop or office PC (8–16GB RAM). For heavier use we'll recommend a model sized to your hardware during setup.
I'm not technical. Can I still use it?+
Absolutely. Choose the ₹4,999 one-time Setup and we install and configure everything remotely, then hand you a simple web chat link. No terminal, no jargon.
Which AI model does it use?+
Open-source models (Llama, Qwen, Mistral family) via Ollama. You're never locked in — we can swap the model as better open ones ship, included in the Managed plan.
Is this legal under the DPDP Act?+
Running AI locally is the most compliant way to use it for confidential work: there is no cross-border transfer and no third-party processor. We provide a plain-English compliance note you can keep on file.
Can it read my existing files?+
Yes — point it at a folder of PDFs, Word docs or scans and it builds a private, local search index so you can ask questions across them. Nothing is uploaded.
